salvaging poetry from the aftermath

In the conversion of a money-saving device to a life preserver,
I find & hear a parable among the ruins.

1/ The "Ark" version:

Disarming
the twister,

a bankers' vault yielded shelter
investing a melting pot
not for carats,

but in a priceless return:
24 lives.

2/ The "Good Samaritan" version:

Disarming
the twister,

a bankers' vault lent itself an ark
investing a melting pot
not for carats,

but in a priceless return:
24 lives.
