Secret Lover
If I could write like Mary Oliver
I wouldn't need God either.
It's not a matter of "need".
She didn't question whether
there is or is not a God.
That was not His or Her game.
God made her happy like a
great lover showering gifts
on her, never signing his name.

The last stanza makes this poem work...
