"Autumn Saturday in the study"

#1 Post by Michael (MV) » 15 Oct 2023, 01:02

An antiqued little prince in PC place
reading listening & writing
without map just a guide

from Pooh corner chasing
an eclipse party
in GPS attendance
across the universe over the western hemisphere

Master Robin sees
Zeffirelli's brother sun caringly
slipping a gold band
on sister of the moon -

the annular engagement
I fell into a burning
ring of fire

then saved with the UniSon
that's won the pot of honey

Corduroy robed in cashmere cardigan
charcoal gray not from burn-out
like cataracts cleared with state-of-the-art lenses
remaining hearth-warm
while ranging around earthbound
and brave to keep the vision
of the unseen beyond outer space

the aesthetic distance
I am with you always
light years ahead already called Home

There is a lovely tone of tenderness throughout. I love the imagery here:

slipping a gold band
on sister of the moon -

the annular engagement
