Usually, about this time of the month, Michael has an input.
I am wondering if he has forgotten again, or maybe he's given up.
I hope not as I have had a wonderful time on here for a decade or more.

The Monthly IBPC Thread (Re: 5th of the month)
No, I, Michael (MV) have not forgotten about or abandoned, or vacated from the Writer's Block, my cyber writer's residence.
Pre-occupied on the home front, in general.
I check in to read, when I can; however, I haven't had time to even cursory workshop.
Re the monthly IBPC:
All my inquiries to IBPC have yet to receive an answer, if they ever will.
Therefore, I no longer felt the need - at least currently - to continue, what became seemingly in vain, the monthly process.
Hopefully, the inactivity is an haitus. But I have decided I will need to wait to see if time will tell.
I witnessed an increased lack of interest in the monthlies, seemingly due to the unresponsiveness reflected on a stagnant IBPC home website, which for over 25 years was steadily active and maintained up-to-date.
I believe my stance is reasonable, understandable and acceptable.
I haven't responded and explained until now, because I assumed that my Not initiating an anticipated upcoming IBPC monthly thread at Palaver would be indicative of my decision.
I am probably one of the last, if not the last, to follow suit with the other boards.
But of course, the absence of IBPC doesn't need to diminish the productive activity & creative comraderie of the Workshop on the Writer's Block, which had already been a leader before an IBPC.
Wow, the wonderful memories. WB was one of the original on-line Triad:
ALSOP, MELIC, and last but not least, the WB.
Even now, after nearly 66 years, I find it almost unacceptable that nothing lasts forever. Yet, ironically, I don't believe humans were created for routines. Just so many sunrises & sunsets - and then it is time to lift off to where the sun never sets -
There, new is always on the rise with the Sun
Michael (MV) - (former?) navigator of the WB contenders to the IBPC finals for about a quarter of a century -
my creativity
a life aspiring
through poetry
never leaves
what's inspired
is only reality
that won't be expiring

Re: 5th of the month
I'm new to the forum, so I'm not entirely acquainted with what is being discussed. It seems that there are a lot of aspects to this forum, but like critique forums everywhere, it is losing members to social media. I don't know why that is happening, since social media sites don't seem to be set up correctly for critique.
I'll become more educated on this place as I participate.

Now that we can post poems again, how about we invite fellow poets to join and/or re-join
and make this a thriving place to post our work?
